Emma has spent her life immersed in movement. She trained in gymnastics, ballet and various other styles of dance from a young age. This built the foundation for her love for moving her body and has uniquely shaped her path towards becoming a yoga teacher. Emma discovered the profound synergy between these disciplines and yoga after attending her very first class over 10 years ago. She loves how the practice allows her to combine movement with mindfulness and create a deeper connection with her body.
Yoga became an integral part of Emma’s life when she began working in the corporate world in her early twenties. Stepping onto the mat provides her with a space to breathe, supporting both her physical and mental wellbeing while she navigates her busy and stressful career in television. Emma regularly practices a combination of Vinyasa, Mandala, and Rocket® with her teacher Abi King, who first introduced her to a strong yang style of yoga. This sparked Emma’s curiosity and lead her to enrol with Kindred School of Yoga where she completed her 200hr teacher training in December 2023. She subsequently completed her 50hr Rocket® training in December 2024.
As a teacher, Emma aims to create an inclusive space for her students to move freely, build strength and flexibility, but most importantly, take time to breathe. She believes in yoga for all and is passionate about curating classes that are accessible, but still strong and dynamic, so anyone and everyone can have the opportunity to feel the power of moment through yoga.
